Water Framework Directive and Climate Change Workshop - report now available

SNIFFER recently hosted a successful workshop examining the impacts of climate change on the implementation of River Basin Plans. The workshop was organised on behalf of the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency as a joint North South Ireland event. It was attended by around 30 delegates from both a climate change and water framework directive background. There were a range of informative presentations including a presentation of the new UK Climate Change Predictions (UKCP08).

Breakout sessions in the afternoon focused on ‘what do we need to do to in RBP cycle 1 and 2 to address the implications of climate change’
