River restoration making headway

Sep

2011
SNIFFER is pleased to report that the river restoration project – funded by The Species Action Network, SEPA and SNH - covering the River Dee, River South Esk, River Ugie and Maltkin Burn is making good progress.

The aim of this project is to address degraded physical habitat associated with these watercourses, illustrating what might be achievable at similar sites elsewhere in Scotland.

Information-gathering workshops informing the project have now been completed, and the outputs from these will be fed into detailed reports which will be completed and made available on the SNIFFER website at the end of 2011.
