To manage our land and water environments sustainably and balance social, environmental and economic requirements is one of the key challenges we face today.

Aspirations

Hub direction and strategy

Work within this hub  is well established in the water environment and our vision is that as a result of our work Scottish professionals working  in the fields of flood risk management, river restoration and WFD implementation are more joined up and aware of each other’s networks and initiatives and are sharing good practice and know-how which enables better on the ground River Restoration and Natural Flood Management works to be implemented.

We will also aim to support groups working with communities to have access to information to understand and build resilience to flood events.
