As part of SNIFFER's new website update the Research Information Service for Flood Risk Management (RISE) site is now being hosted from a new, dedicated portal www.rise-frm.org.uk

SNIFFER’s principal focus is on addressing knowledge gaps relating to environmental issues, and increasingly where there are interdependencies with the economy and society. We currently work in the following topic areas:

We are always keen to discuss other areas where our expertise could be engaged.

Climate Change Handbook

Since 2001 SNIFFER has taken forward several research projects on climate change.  Please use the projects section to view the completed, active and proposed projects.

In 2006 SNIFFER published a Technical report of climate trends across Scotland (project CC03), which outlines the climatic changes across Scotland over the last century. A climate trends handbook report was also developed for ease of accessing the data and images underpinning the trends.  We are currently experiencing technical problems with the online version of the climate trends handbook and we hope to resolve this in early 2009.
