The SNIFFER office is situated approximately 5 minutes walk from the east end of Princes Street, and within easy reach of intercity bus and railway stations. Our office is directly above the Theatre Royal bar and next to the Playhouse Theatre at the top of Leith Walk.

By Rail: SNIFFER is a 5 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley (closest railway station). Taxi : 5 minute journey/approx. £2.00

By Air: Edinburgh Airport lies approximately 7 miles west of the city centre: taxi to SNIFFER takes from 20 minutes (depending on traffic): fare £16-£20. Express Airport Buses (service 100) run every 10 minutes (30 minutes/night) to Waverley Bridge (just off Princes St) - single £4.00/return £6.00 - journey time. 25 minutes. By Bus: National buses arrive at St Andrew Square, 5 minutes from SNIFFER. All the Lothian Buses which go up or down Leith Walk (e.g. 12, 22, 26) will be able to drop you of at our office – get off right at the top of Leith Walk next to the Playhouse Theatre and Omni Centre cinema and bar complex.

By Car: There is an NCP at Greenside Place

Conference on Strategic Environmental Assessment “SEA as a tool to contribute to high-level policy objectives” 7 May 2010, University of Strathclyde

This conference brings together a variety of expert perspectives – from policy advisors, local authority officers, consultants and academics – to discuss the practical application of SEA and the outcomes and implications of using SEA as a vehicle to deliver high-level policy objectives. This conference sponsored by SNIFFER and ESRC (Economic and Social Research council) will make a vital contribution to discussion about the overall purpose and benefits of SEA, together with the efficacy of delivery mechanisms proposed to achieve overall Scottish governmental aims.
