Showcasing Scotland's efforts to tackle climate change

Scotland’s work on climate change adaptation was showcased at the first European Climate Change Adaptation conference in Hamburg, Germany in March. The conference was attended by over 700 experts, policy makers and practitioners from across Europe and covered issues ranging from strategies for Europe’s coasts, mountains and cities to the influence of climate change on the energy sector.

Adaptation Scotland and CLIMSAVE ran a session showcasing the integrated apprach that is being taken in Scotland and the support serves that are available.

Sonia Milne (Glasgow City Council), Graham Esson (Perth and Kinross Council), Mary Christie (Scottish Natural Heritage) and Jim Densham (RSPB Scotland) gave presentations as part of the session, which was followed by a debate.
