Stratclyde Loch bacteria concerns
The great Scottish Swim has had to cancel this year due to bacteria levels in Stratclyde Loch. Sniffer is managing a project to safeguard the water quality for the triathlon of the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
Sniffer is playing a vital role in restoring the water quality in Strathclyde Loch in time for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The importance of the project has been highlighted by the cancellation of this year’s Great Scottish Swim, which was due Saturday 25 August. This happens after a swimmer took ill at an event in June due to poor water quality.
The Stratclyde Loch Restoration project has been set up to improve conditions both in the short and long term.
