Adapting Northern Ireland to a Changing Climate
Tuesday 25 November 2008, 9:00 – 3:30
Lough Neagh Discovery Centre
The Northern Ireland Climate Change Impacts Partnership is delighted to invite you to attend its launch conference:
Speakers will include representatives from the Tyndall Centre, UKCIP and Climate South East who will explore what Northern Ireland can expect from the changing climate in the short to medium term. In the afternoon the results of a recent survey of public attitudes to climate change and their willingness to engage in a variety of different activities will be presented. Workshops will explore practical actions on the adaptation front as suggested by the survey results.
Details of speakers are still being finalised and we will send out a full programme in the near future. In the meantime, please register your interest and mark your diaries for this important and interesting event. Most recent conferences have concentrated on the mitigation aspects. This conference will look at the practical impacts increases in global temperature will have on our lives in Northern Ireland and what we can do to address these issues.
There is a charge of £15 for the conference to cover catering and administration.
Please complete the attached form and send back, with payment or request for an invoice.
