The purpose of this project was to provide environmental regulators with a concise summary of the current state of scientific knowledge on particle pollution (also called particulate matter (PM)) with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or less (PM2.5).
SNIFFER is pleased to announce the publication of a professionally designed booklet that summarises the findings of SNIFFER project ER12. This booklet is designed to provide regulators and others with an understanding of PM2.5, which is a measure of particles with a diameter of less than 2.5 µm. The booklet covers health effects, sources, speciation, pathways, regulatory requirements, monitoring and modelling tools.
This summary booklet was distilled from the comprehensive report written at the conclusion of this research project. The booklet, as well as the comprehensive report, are available for free download from the SNIFFER website.
