Expressing Interest in Tendering For SNIFFER-led Research

Proposals

  • Details of SNIFFER led proposals are posted on our website as soon as the funding is approved (search 'Proposed' projects to find out what proposals are being taken forward.

Timescales

  • SNIFFER invites 'Expressions of interest (EOI)' for all proposals that will go out to restricted tender.  EOIs are published on our website.  EOIs are generally avaialble for approximately a 4 week period and are posted between 1 and 3 months before a proposal is put out to tender.  Occasionally, when timetables are tight, these timeframes will be shortened.

Who is informed?

  • A copy of the link to the EOI form and short description for the proposal is forwarded to all contacts listed on our contractors’ database.  Contractors who are interested in tendering for the work can submit the completed form on-line.
  • A copy of the link is also posted on this page to ensure that all potential contractors are aware of and able to submit an EOI if the proposal is of interest.

Queries

  • It is not possible for us to deal with queries relating to EOIs – all the information a contractor should require is detailed on our website in the short description associated with the proposal.

Review

  • The submitted EOIs are reviewed by SNIFFER on the basis of the relevant experience potential contractors have to undertake the research.  A maximum of 6 organisations are invited to tender for each proposal.

Feedback

  • SNIFFER does not provide individual feedback on submitted EOIs.  However if your organisation is successful, invite to tender documents should be forwarded within three months of the closing date for the EOI.
