Accessing funding for flood risk management Workshop Purpose Securing relevant funding is crucial for delivering flood risk management actions and the multiple-benefits that projects and initiatives can provide. This workshop aims to explore the potential sources of funding available to local authorities, and the skills & know-how needed to access them. Importantly this includes funds to maximise opportunities for multiple benefits such as greenspace, wellbeing, community engagement and river restoration. The workshop will provide participants with insights into what makes a funding bid successful from a range of funding bodies. We will also hear the experiences of different local authorities and catchment initiatives to secure funding for flood risk management and multiple benefits. NB! This workshop is not about accessing the flooding capital grant which is distributed within the local government settlement.
