Climate Ready South East Scotland is a collaborative project led by Sniffer, working in partnership with the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region’s six local authorities: City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian.

As part of the project, we are looking to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to undertake an economic assessment of the climate risks and opportunities for the Edinburgh and South East Scotland Region.

The objective of this project is to provide a more detailed understanding, in monetary terms, of the current and future economic costs (and benefits) of climate change for the Edinburgh and South East Scotland region. The project will include two phases:

  • Phase one (June - October 2024): a high-level analysis that will provide a broad picture overview of the economic impacts of climate change risks and opportunities in the region.
  • Phase two (October 2024 - January 2025): a more detailed analysis of a smaller group of priority economic sectors.

We are inviting quotes for this work based on the Invitation to Quote brief.
