It’s a time of change for Sniffer this spring. Here is a message from Ruth Wolstenholme, our Managing Director.

It is thirty years since Sniffer's inception as a charity. In that time the team has grown in terms of impact and recognition, and we are at the forefront of creating a flourishing and fairer future in a changing climate. We now have a talented and committed team of 17 working from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

With Sniffer at the centre of Scotland’s place-based and people-focused approach to climate resilience, this is a good time to change our brand and our name to better reflect what we do and the values we hold. We are now working to create our new look and our new name.

Knowing that Sniffer is in such great shape I have made the decision to step down as Managing Director. Managing the Sniffer team through our evolution into the ground-breaking changemaker we are today has been challenging and fulfilling, and it has been a privilege to work with so many talented and committed colleagues, partners and stakeholders. The transition to new leadership has been planned and will be managed to make sure that our activity and level of service to our partners and funders remains at the quality we are known for.

The recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the charity forward is now underway, with the role open for applications until 1 July. You can find out more details here.

I will be continuing in a part-time project role, and will of course introduce our new CEO in due course.

Exciting times ahead!

Very best,

Ruth
